In 2025, the Memorial Museum-Estate of Mykola Poshyvailo—a Distinguished Master of Folk Art of Ukraine who devoted his entire life to clay and Ukrainian traditions—was opened in Opishnia.
About a thousand of his works are collected here—from delicate painted tableware to toys and ritual objects. Each piece has its own character, mood, and a piece of the master’s soul.
This place is also special because Mykola Poshyvailo carried on one of the oldest pottery dynasties in Opishnia. Here, you can feel the continuity of generations, respect for work, and love for one’s craft.
The estate seems to preserve time: you step inside and find yourself in an atmosphere where tradition is alive, genuine, and very close.
