The Oleksandra Seliuchenko Memorial Museum-Estate is a place where clay toys come to life and tell their stories. It is the home of an outstanding artisan who managed not only to preserve but also to truly develop the tradition of Opishnia toys.
Here, everything has remained almost exactly as it was during her lifetime: the house, the yard, the old kiln, and household items. And most importantly—over a thousand of her works, in which one can sense her imagination, warmth, and love for her craft.
Oleksandra Seliuchenko created hundreds of figures—simple yet deeply meaningful—which today can be seen not only here but also in museums and private collections around the world.
This place has a special atmosphere—quiet, sincere, and very human. Families come here to experience authentic tradition, and every few years, the Seliuchenko Readings are held here to honor the memory of the master.
This is a story about talent born from a love for one’s homeland.
